Find information about a particular area
Oneplace focuses on how well different public bodies work together to improve local quality of life. It's based on the judgements of different inspectorates working in partnership to provide you with our collective view on how well your public services are delivering for you.
You have a right to know whether you are getting value for money, whether your local public services are good enough and whether promised improvements will be delivered. Oneplace gives clear and impartial information to help you make decisions in your communities, for example about whether public services are having a positive impact on your life.
What do we mean by 'area'?
Oneplace provides information about each area in England. We've concentrated on the impact public services have on people's lives so we've focused on the areas that local public services cover, for example your council area. In rural areas, where there can be more than one council covering the same area, we’ve reported on the county as a whole.
Area Assessments
We've taken an independent look at how your public services are working together to tackle the most important issues in each area, whether they are good enough and whether improvement is likely to continue. We've flagged where things need to change, as well as highlighted achievements and innovation that public services are delivering.
Search tip
Once you've found the area you're interested in, we've provided a summary of the big issues and gone into more detail based on the priorities for that particular area. But, if you're interested in a particular issue, for example how safe the area is or how healthy the area is, you can easily search for it using the "show specific" search box and we'll show you everything we found.
